Programming/Preliminary Design During this phase we will work with you to determine the spaces you would like in your new custom home design, define the relationships between those spaces, and how you will use the spaces. We will also carefully evaluate and discuss our client's needs and desires during this stage in order to provide you with a design that will capture your lifestyle. In addition, we will sketch conceptual floor plans and provide you with different design schemes for you to choose. When a preliminary scheme is chosen it will be refined into scaled floor plans. Sketch elevations and illustrations will be included to show the vertical relationships of the chosen plans.
When you are satisfied with the preliminary design, the project will move into construction document phase. With spatial relationships and requirements decided, we refine the floor plans, exterior elevations, building sections and roof plans. Exterior and Interior finish materials will be indicated and architectural details will be shown. In addition, construction documents will include door, window, & finish schedule, architectural notes, electrical & lighting plan, structural plans & notes, energy calculation & reports.
